Keep the Surfboard in Bali. Take the Side Trip.
Your board has earned its place on the Bali trip. It does not necessarily need to join the island detour, the family visit or every accommodation change. Surfboard storage can give it somewhere to wait while you travel lighter and plan the next part of your stay.
Is the board useful on the next leg?
Before carrying a board bag through another transfer, think about what you will actually do next. A non-surfing side trip may be simpler without it, especially when vehicle space or accommodation storage is limited.
Compare the storage period and any transport with the effort of taking it along. Plan collection around when you will need the board again, not just when you return to Bali.
Give the board and bag time to dry
- Rinse off salt and sand, then dry the board and bag thoroughly.
- Photograph existing damage before packing.
- Protect the nose, tail and rails with suitable padding.
- Secure fins and accessories so they do not rub or knock against the board.
- Label the bag and note the boards and accessories inside.
Two boards per bag is a limit, not a size promise
The published surfboard service allows up to two boards per bag. Share board lengths, packed dimensions and weight, especially for longboards or unusually large bags, so the team can confirm suitability.
Ask whether you will drop off at Kuta HQ or need a quoted transfer. Confirm where the boards will be stored and collected rather than assuming every branch keeps them on site.
Think one session ahead
If you want the board ready for an early surf, arrange collection with that in mind. Kuta HQ normally opens 9AM–7PM, and outside-hours access needs a prior appointment.
If your side trip runs longer, message before the agreed end date to confirm an extension and its charge. It is much easier to adjust the plan before you are back and trying to collect.
Get the whole arrangement confirmed
Ask for the total based on your bags and duration. Published storage prices exclude 11% VAT; pickup or delivery is separately quoted unless expressly included.
Send the inquiry in WhatsApp and wait for confirmation of space, price and handover. Then take the smaller travel bag and leave the board for the part of the trip where you need it.
One thing not to rush
Can I leave the bag wet after a surf?
Dry the board and bag thoroughly first. Trapped moisture can affect equipment even when it is stored indoors.
